DZ47-63 Miniature Circuit Breaker

This essential device, specifically highlighted by its C16 rating, is the cornerstone of electrical safety in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings worldwide. The DZ47-63 MCB is meticulously designed to provide reliable, automatic protection against the two primary threats to any electrical system: overload current and short-circuit faults.

The technical prowess of the DZ47-63 is demonstrated through its robust specifications. Operating at a Rated Current ($I_n$) of 16 A and compatible with a Rated Voltage of 230V/400V AC at 50/60Hz, this breaker is ideally positioned for protecting lighting systems, power sockets, and small motor distribution circuits. It features a commendable Rated Short-Circuit Breaking Capacity of 4000A (or 4 kA), ensuring that it can safely and swiftly interrupt fault currents, isolating the damaged circuit and preventing cascading failures or fire hazards. This critical interruption capability adheres to stringent international standards, including IEC 60898-1 and GB10963.1.

A key functional feature is the Type C Tripping Characteristic, denoted by the 'C' on the device. The Type C curve is the industry standard for general protection applications, offering a delayed thermal trip mechanism for minor, sustained overloads and a magnetic trip mechanism for instantaneous short circuits. Specifically, the Type C curve allows the magnetic mechanism to trip between 5 to 10 times the rated current ($I_n$), making it suitable for circuits with moderate inrush currents, such as typical appliances, lighting fixtures, and small transformers, without nuisance tripping.

Structurally, the DZ47-63 is designed for seamless integration and long-term durability. It features a high-strength, flame-retardant plastic casing, which provides superior insulation and impact resistance. The compact, single-module design is specifically engineered for DIN rail mounting, allowing for quick, standardized, and secure installation within consumer units and distribution boards. Furthermore, its robust design contributes to a significant Mechanical Life (often exceeding 10,000 cycles) and Electrical Life (typically over 4,000 cycles), promising a long, maintenance-free service life under normal operating conditions. The clear ON-OFF (O-OFF) indication and ergonomic toggle simplify manual operation and status checks.
